This is what I believe happened directly after the events of Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild.
You will enjoy this story much more if you first play Breath Of The Wild.

When Link left Hyrule after the Twilight Invasion, he left Princess Zelda with a broken heart. He promised her that he would come back to Hyrule; back to her. But what happens when death attempts to interfere with a promise made long ago? (Post Twilight Princess) I love the movie for Princess Bride, and I thought it would be cool to make a LOZ version of it XD. It takes place after Twilight Princess :). Before the Great Calamity, Zelda and Link travel amongst Hyrule together. They must learn to tolerate each other on their journey. Zelda, having barely been able to leave the castle much before him, discovered her sense of adventure when she went out with Link. Is it possible that the two of them harbored a secret admiration for each other than ran deeper than friendship? Or would Link maintain his silence and not speak to the princess at all? This story flashes back from before and after the Great Calamity. What happens after Link defeats Calamity Ganon? This story is very long, but if I do say so myself, I think it's worth it!
