First book in the Escaping Series.
Sonya and Rose Faulkner. They were stuck outside on the poor side of the Berlin Wall when their parents were out on a date. They've been fending for themselves, on their own, rotating jobs and school for almost a year. But now, they think it's time for them to escape the binds their trapped in and see their parents again. But will it be a blessing? Or a curse?

It started with the melting of the Poles, which uncovered diseases that hadn't been seen in millennia. Obviously, when a flesh-eating parasitical virus was found, scientists in all their glory decided to study it, which led to the greatest calamity in human history. Warning: This is the original book 1, it is now considered more of a prelude/building character relationships arc than a book. This provides backstory and sets the foundation for the characters and their relationships.
