'Reliable', 'capable' and 'fearless' are words that people use to describe Ethan, an incoming senior from Whittaker University's Business faculty. He wasn't afraid of anything until he heard her voice.

After the night he went inside the abandoned Building 31, he had been looking for the voice that had captivated his heart, mind and soul, hoping to hear her song at least once more in his lifetime.

Will Ethan be able to find the Siren from Building 31?

I was walking to my locker when I heard someone calling for somebody. "Hey! Little cutie!" They called. I kept waking, since no one noticed me and I doubted that it would've started then. It was a hallway full of cute girls, all of them much cuter than me, so why would they be calling for me? They whistled. "Shortie with the ponytail!" They called, their voice now closer to me. I still kept walking to my locker since there were still several other girls, who were taller than me but still relatively short, wearing ponytails. I felt a light tap on my shoulder once I got to my locker. I turned around and my breath caught in my throat at who was talking to me. Maximus King. The hottest guy in all of Hillside High. With his jet black hair that was always messy but still looked amazing, his steel grey eyes that all the girls talked about, his sharp jawline that could cut someone, his tall, six-foot five inches form that towered over me, and his strong form that could easily take out pretty much all of the guys in school, he was what every girl looked for. He had a bit of a bad reputation, well, a lot of a bad reputation, but most girls didn't care about that. I cared, and was very afraid of him and all of his friends except for Xander. In fact, if he had a reputation of sleeping around, I think I would've avoided him like the plague. Good thing he only flirted with girls and never slept, kissed, or touched them. "Hey, shortie, I was talking to you," he said with his deep voice. I cleared my throat after a few seconds of me gaping at him. "S-sorry. I-I didn't k-know," I squeaked. He chuckled. "I even said 'shortie with the ponytail!' yet you still didn't know." I gulped. "That's cute," he said. Amethyst Stone, a short, four-foot eleven inches girl that Maximus King has taken an interest to. When? You'll find out. Why? He could tell you, but don't get your hopes up. Will it work out? Read if you really want to know. 12/21/18- 8/8/19- 12/27/20

Ethan was a typical 19-year-old, full of dreams and aspirations, navigating the uncertain waters of young adulthood at Job Corps. Surrounded by a diverse group of peers all striving for a better life, he found an unexpected connection with Olivia, a spirited girl with an infectious laugh and a warmth that drew him in like a moth to a flame. Their friendship blossomed amidst the challenges of daily life at the center-study sessions turned into late-night talks, shared meals transformed into laughter-filled moments, and soon, a deep bond began to form. But beneath the surface of their budding romance lay a heavy secret that Ethan had kept hidden from everyone, including Olivia: a child he had fathered at a time when he was still trying to find himself. As their relationship deepened, so did Ethan's internal struggle. The joy of falling in love clashed with the fear of revealing his past-a past that haunted him, casting shadows over every moment they spent together. Each time Olivia looked at him with those bright, trusting eyes, Ethan felt the weight of his secret pressing down harder. He grappled with the decision of whether to share his truth, knowing that it could change everything. As Ethan navigated the complexities of their new-found love, the question lingered in his mind: Was it worth the risk of losing Olivia to finally be honest about who he was? In a world where love seemed just within reach, could he find the courage to confront his past and embrace a future with the girl who made him feel alive again?
