Honoka Kousaka the energetic leader of Muse is not really an ordinary girl in appearance. She's really a vampire at night. Her father comes from a clan of vampires.

Tsubasa Kira comes from a family of vampire hunters. Being an idol is only a front act to track down vampires lurking in Japan.

Together with her friends Anju Yuki and Erena Toudou. They use their celebrity status to hunt vampires. And kill them before they can victimize again. However there is one vampire clan that always seems to get under their radar. And that is the Kousaka clan. This is where things get complicated as Tsubasa and Honoka have become close friends. And their friendship turned into a romantic relationship after high school. But fate decided to play its ugly hand on both of them. As soon as Honoka turns 18. She begins to feel her vampire powers manifest in her body. While Tsubasa is already a well trained vampire hunter.

Female members of the Kousaka clan become vampires once they turn 18. While the male members of the clan turn into vampires at the age of 15. Another complication to the family is Honoka's sister Yukiho. She's friends with Alisa Ayase. Her family is also a clan of vampire hunters. But unlike the Kira clan. The Ayase clan are more brutal. The male members rape and slay female vampires after satisfying their sexual desires. The female members on the other hand, force the males into hard labor. The Ayase clan makes the vampires wear a silver cross on their necks to suppress their powers.
