When Ana moves across the country with her depressive mother at the beginning of summer to a town overflowing with rich kids, she presumes she'll continue to be the outsider of this community just like the last one. That is until she comes into contact with Ed and Naomi, two kids who, like herself, don't seem to belong in this town, but all for different reasons. Their unlikely friendship, and the diary entries that follow, take a hard-hitting look at the destructive world of mental illness and everyone it affects in its wake, exploring the thoughts of a girl named Ana, a girl with Ana, and Ana's underlying motivation.
