She had to be there for them, even if it meant marrying the man who she loved to the core but could not get a single part of his heart. But she will not fall in love with that man again. No matter what.

But soon, he found the other side of the woman he thought was heartless, a side he fell for, hard. Unfortunately, for the first time in his life, a woman actually rejected him.

But poor Mercy didn't know, when this arrogant man wanted something, he can be more despicable, more wicked than her. And she had nowhere to run.

Luke roughly pulled Mercy from her waist. His predatory eyes made her shiver but she didn't show it on her face

"Who was that man dear wife?" He asked, his voice like a demon out for blood.

"I don't see a need to explain anything to you." She replied blankly. "We are a fake couple Luke. You better remember our agreement. You do not have any right to question me."

"Agreement? I don't remember any such agreement." Luke smirked shamelessly. "Now for the last time, who was that man?"

Mercy was left speechless. Anger courses through her. "Like I said, none of your damn business. If you don't remember then let me refresh your memory. We are not in love-"

She wasn't allowed to complete as a pair of lips shut her up effectively. Luke couldn't take it anymore. Her words hit sore spots of his heart. So before she could continue slicing his heart, he shut her up the best way he could.

"Well," she said sweetly, fake as hell. "Jude's a great guy. You know, polite and handsome. Such a gentleman." "That so?" I muttered, voice dark. "Too bad I don't give a fuck what kind of gentleman he is." I leaned in, lips ghosting hers. Close, but not touching. "But we both know he can't get on his knees and eat your pussy like I do. Can't fuck you the way I do. Can't make you beg. Can't make you scream. Can't break you the way you like it." I dragged my fingers up her thigh, slow, stopping just short of her slick center. "In case you've forgotten..." I didn't finish the sentence. I wanted her to feel it. I wanted her to fucking remember. She sucked in a breath, tried to play it off with a smirk. "You're so full of yourself. If you were that good, I wouldn't have wandering eyes." I grabbed her chin firm, but not rough. "You don't have wandering eyes," I said, low and dangerous. (18+ EXPLICIT CONTENT) "Attract a lot of attention, huh beautiful?" His voice hit me like a wall, absurdly catching me off guard. It was deep, sensual, something any girl (or boy) could melt over. I was sort of speechless, yet trying my best to appear unafflicted. "Only the wrong ones." That was definitely drunken me talking, as I didn't usually have that much confidence. His lips twitched up into a smirk, expressing that he understood my comment. "Does that mean that I'm in that category?" My palms began to grow sweaty and my heart rate picked up, but otherwise my body remained relaxed, appearing completely fine. It similar to when you're on autopilot, completely withdrawn due to intoxication. "I suppose not," I crossed my arms, putting on this seductive persona just for him. This fueled his smirk, about to murmur another comment before I cut him off. "You'll have to show me, though." *** Amelia Hollis was a 23-year-old writer at one of the local publishing companies, assisting a very handsome man and writing articles left and right. Her and her best friend, Aviary, lived together in a cute little apartment off the central part of the city, yearning to create new memories and important moments. Amelia always lived for the moments, taking in every little detail and savoring it like it was her favorite meal. She was an optimist, hoping to change peoples lives with her dreams. James Vallette was a 34-year-old CEO, building his company from dirt with the help of his brother. He was a realist, not really having time to deal with dreams or even love. He knew this the night he laid eyes on Amelia. It was only casual; what harm could a one-night stand do? Oh yeah, he's her dad's boss.

Will they get their happily ever after? Excerpt "You won't throw me out it would go against what you believe." "I don't harm women. This won't harm you. TEN." I took two steps grabbed hand fulls of hip and ass and threw her over my shoulder like a bag of potatoes. She squealed. "Put me down." "I will. Outside." I strode past the other enforcers who had watched the entire thing and hadn't lifted a finger to help. I strode toward the front gate. For a tall woman she didn't weigh anything at all really. She kicked the spike shoes on her feet so hard one popped off. I stopped and grabbed it never letting go of her. "You put be down now." "Not yet, we aren't at the gate." I slipped a hand further around her thigh and between her legs. I'd make her think of something else. "What are you doing?" "Well while you were yelling I kept wondering if you wore thongs or high cut. You seem more of the high cut kind of girl. Over the hips but still covering the goods so you'll look good if you take your clothes off. I'm trying to see if I can find out." I slid my hand over her ass. "No seam at all. Ooh, thongs after all. Bra to match I bet." "That's none of your business." "Hard not to think of it when your 'business' is next to my face."

Nothing left my mouth as I stared at him in shock. He truly believed that I was part of this. The man, who I had lived with and served for months. The man who I had protected with my life and soul. I stood still while, as he backed away from me quickly. "I trusted you with my life." His cry pierced around the empty room. He looked so destroyed and hurt, but mostly his face portrayed rage and determation. "And I protected you with mine." I spoke back loudly. I didn't hear myself say it but I knew I did. "Does the geriatric kiss you like this?" He mumbled against me as his teeth nipped at my already swollen lips. I pulled back once more, my heighted state of emotions, my anger taking over. "What if I said I don't want you?" A devilish grin took over as one of his hands slid along my thigh, under my skirt, his fingers tracing over the soft, damp material of my underwear. His mouth moved down to my neck, nipping at the juncture between my shoulder and neck. "I would call you a fucking liar." I tried to bite back the moan as his teeth skimmed my neck, before sinking in hard, his fingers pushing under the edge of my panties. He hesitated for a moment, waiting for me to stop him. I didn't want him to stop. One finger slid over my folds before pushing into my entrance, sinking in deep. He groaned in pleasure, his erection twitching against my core as his finger began to move. What did that even mean? He chuckled at my deer-in-headlights expression. There was no way I would not remember losing my virginity to Jake. Hell, I'd memorize every second of it. "What do you mean?" I asked slowly, my stomach doing somersaults. Please tell me I'm jumping to the wrong conclusion. Pretty please. "Well," he started, a gleam in his eyes. "First, you grabbed the blanket and ripped it right off of me." I blinked at him, a horrified expression on my face. I slapped his hand away from my hair and turned around. Yup, there it was. Lying on the floor, along with my dignity. He continued solemnly. "And then, you climbed up on top of me." Could you die from your face overheating? I waited for my embarrassment to be complete as he tapped his chin, thoughtfully. "Yeah, that's about it." That's it? THAT'S IT? So I hadn't completely thrown myself at him. Just a tad. And the prize for the unluckiest luckiest horndog of the year goes to Lauren Can't Keep Her Hands To Herself Jules. I grabbed the pillow and smacked him over the head with it. Hard.
