Naruto is mad. Sakura is annoying and Sasuke is a jerk. Naruto is already S-Level, but only a few know about that secret.
Team 8 is bored. Konoha is uncomfortable and they want a change.
Team 10 is annoyed. They do not enjoy Konoha, and the hungry Choji, the lazy Shikamaru, and the weak Ino want to try something else.
Neji is upset. Lee is involving Neji in embarrassing scenes and he wants to follow Hinata.
Naruto brings together a bunch of outcasts and people who have grudges to form a new village - but things may change at any point and new threats loom....

Joining Gaara and his two ever loyal siblings, Temari and Kankuro, will be the Leaf Shinobi, Naruto, Shikamaru, Ino, Tenten, Hinata, Neji, and surprisingly, Sasuke Uchiha. Sasuke isn't really going for the mission though, he's been persuaded to join them by Gaara's new, out of this world teacher, Shine Likstar, and her partner Wally West, and their current hero trainees, Momo, Shoto, Dabi, and now joining them, Bakugo and Camie. Along the way the group runs into Team Taka, and makes some detours, all the while trying not to drive each other insane with their crazy hijinks, culture clashes, and different ways of looking at the world. Not to mention past trauma. But things may heat up when they actually reach Mist Village and find more than they bargained for. [This story is a sort of spin off of the main story line, and picks up where my shorter retelling of the War Arc and Sasuke Retrieval Arc left off. After a major mission went horribly wrong, the Leaf shinobi were ordered to retreat and abandon those left behind, even if it meant leaving teammates. Sakura, not willing to leave those dear to her, goes to rescue them. After which she discovers Tsunade is not going to just leave her be, but the apprentice doesn't plan to let her kindness be smothered out. Abandoning her home wasn't her original plan. She would have liked to go back, but the wheels of the world had begun turning in a different direction long before she was born. A war was prevented and lives were saved. Sakura will just be another mechanism in the workings of time.
