Matthew was not the kind of guy to have a lot of friends. In fact he wasn't the kind of guy who had any friends at all. With bad experiences and old fears he's always kept to himself. It was quiet and, admittedly lonely.

But friends are hard to find. It's not like they just show up one day and BAM! Your friends now! Or so Matthew thought, until Christian did just that.

A tale of love, awkward flirting, and friendship.

Quick warning: There are a few slurs sprinkled in here so please be careful if that is something that affects you. Thanks!!

(Hey you guys, this is my first story ever that I've been brave enough to share with, well anyone, so I hope you like it and please be gentle.)

WARNING: I seriously hate this story. Read at your own risk. It CLEARLY gets better with each chapter, as my writing skill improved- but it starts with a disgusting cliche. Looking back now, it seems silly. It seems silly to think that, after all the jokes, stares, and meaningful silences, we'd still only be friends. It seems silly to think that I'd tried so hard to go against the very thing I wanted. It seems silly to think that he and I couldn't see what the future held for us. Mark and I, well it was only a matter of tempting fate.
