Everyone has a power in this world. Whether you discover them when you're six or when you're fifty, you're bound to find them at some point in your life. Jonathan wasn't any different. He has his water powers, he has his friends, and he has his family. But then he's told to pack up, because he's being sent off to some school out in the middle of nowhere, and at that school his life becomes anything but normal. [aka i couldn't think of a title, but I wanted to publish this so yay I'll probably retitle this later] [[whoops i never did re title it lmao]]

Lindsey left behind her very best friend Bucky Barnes their dads were in the military together and had opened up their own medical practice. Lindsey hadn't been back to Georgia in three years and wasn't allowed to have any contact with anyone back home including her dad. But three years after leaving she finally gets to return to her safe haven her home where she belongs. And Bucky is more than thrilled to have her back home. But when one accident happens between the two of them a slew of family drama happens and causes more family problems and Bucky and his brother to be sent away to join the military after high school. Leaving Lindsey to take care of everything by herself.

"Come back to me, soldier" I stood there at the Airport not wanting him to go. Me not knowing where he was going to be and if he was going to come home to me. "Babe, I love you so much." He said giving me a kiss that was so sweet and passionate. "I love you too Brett Ashwood." That's when the flight boarding intercom came on and it was his flight out. "I'm gonna miss you so much and I will come back to you." I was trying so hard not to cry. I smiled. When he grabbed his bag, I grabbed his hand and kissed him one last time. "I love you Brett." He smiled and walked down the airport. I squatted down and started crying softly. Come back to me Brett.

Into The Trenches: A World War I Journal [2019]
It is 1914, and Henry Anderson is watching the world descend into war. Like many young men at the time, he is fascinated by the idea of warfare and glory. Henry enlists in the military against his parents' wishes and throws himself into the life of a British soldier in Flanders. But it is far from what he expects: Henry's fantasies of righteous battle fade into the grim reality of gruesome death and shell-shock. He and his fellow soldier Jacob must help each other survive the cruel trenches, but it is no longer certain that either of them will return to England alive. Told in journal entries and letters from Henry's sister Elizabeth, this reveals the realities and horrors of World War I, on the battlefield and in the homefront. I wrote this for a history project while studying WWI and got way too involved in it, so here you are. WARNINGS: gun/bomb/gas-related violence, war descriptions, graphic death, suicide attempt. I will mark specific chapters with warnings and give summaries of those chapters on the following one. Will Savannah be able to let him into her heart again? Or will everything they have die out like the summer does...
