In the early to mid 1900's, we have (y/n) (l/n), a young city detective working on the case of Mr. Elsner's death. Dealing with the stress of their daily, arguably unhealthy life and their work life.

But low and behold the yearly Carnival comes around, dragging it's madness along with it.

They run into strange people, if that's what you could call them. Maybe perhaps befriending those weirdos along the one. But one person had caught their eye.
