I met him in the dining hall. It was weeks after college had started, and everyone had already floated into their social circles. Except me. And Dave Hudson. I convinced myself into talking to the first person I saw in the Dining Hall. He was the first person I saw. I walked to his table, being determined to actually talk to some one besides my non-existent roommate, and demanded we become friends.

A few weeks later we kissed for the first time after sneaking into the art building.

Two months later, everything changed for the both of us.

Six years later it all ended.

He brushed his lips against my jaw, his dark hair falling over his brow. "Open your eyes," he commanded. "Look at me." I followed his orders and looked into the raven-black depths before me. I saw my entranced gaze reflected in his glaring one. "Tell me what you see." I kept on looking at him, searching for something, anything, that remained of the person he used to be. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. But his eyes were so dark, so empty . . . "Nothing. I see nothing," I whispered. He smirked, his gaze still on me. He pulled away, leaving me feeling cold. "Exactly. You see nothing - that's because there's nothing there." ** How much can a person change in just three years? Short and full of fiery spirit, Hanna Jordan is a gifted college student who is enrolled in one of the most prestigious culinary programs in the country. She's just returned from three years of study in France and is anxious to reconnect with her longtime friend, Rian Aronhalt. Despite their differences, both are haunted by dark memories of the past, which form a poisonous bond between Hanna and Rian that neither can escape from. Can they both heal from the scars time left behind, and find love in the process?

A chance to finally become the interior designer she has always dreamed of, but when she finds herself working with the one person that she doesn't trust herself around, life starts to get messy, lines are crossed and she can't help but fall for the one guy she shouldn't - again. Chase Cartwright has been living out his dream of being an architect in NYC for the last two years, but when he returns to London for his next big project, he tries to keep his head in the game and not get distracted by his best friends younger sister and falling for her isn't an option - if only things were that simple. *** "Chase." I stand, sliding myself around the island and invading his personal space by basically crushing him into a hug. My arms wrap around his torso tightly while I stare up at him, a smile tugging at the corners of my lips. His arms capture me, wrapping around my shoulders as his eyes flick between mine. "I really enjoyed last night. Every part of it." I tell him honestly. "Good. Me too." His head leans down into me, pecking my lips with a gentle kiss before he pulls away smiling, his dimples on show. "Do you know how fucking sexy you look right now?" I chuckle before breaking free, stepping back and spinning around so Chase can see me fully. "Fuck. Come here." His hands grip my neck, steadily pulling my head into him as his lips crash onto mine. His tongue slips in my mouth and I feel myself moan slightly at the feeling in my stomach from his touch. He suddenly grips my bare ass underneath his shirt and I squeal. "Hey!" "Sorry baby, I just can't control myself when you're literally wearing nothing underneath my shirt. Which by the way, looks so fucking good on you." *** Dual POV 18+ Mature scenes Strong language

Lance just graduated and has a summer internship. His parents expect him to come back to Texas to work in the family business at the end of the summer. He likes to have fun and doesn't want to be tied down too soon. Until he meets Abby. Abby still has two years left of college and a mom who keeps her anchored near the town where she grew up. She is cautious in relationships, not letting people close. But Lance's persistence wears down her defenses. Knowing Lance is leaving, Abby tells herself it's just a summer fling. Will that be enough to keep her from falling in love? "Someone knocked into Abby from behind. She lurched forward against the guy's chest, crushing her cup against his abs and splashing the remains of her soda all over both of them. "Gah!" he shouted in surprise. He had instinctively grabbed her upper arms to steady her when she ran into him, but pushed her away slightly when he felt the soda soaking his shirt. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry," she gasped. He stood there with his arms out looking down at the mess on his shirt. Then he looked at the matching stain on her shirt and his lips twitched like he was suppressing a smile. He cleared his throat. "It's okay," he said. There was laughter in his voice. She noticed that his eyes seemed to be glued to her shirt, and she looked down. Abby gasped again. Her light pink tank was nearly see through now that it was wet." Check out Pinterest for my inspiration board for Summer Fling: www.pinterest.com/jericamacmillan/summer-fling

"You won't forget about me will you?" Scorpius stared down in shock at the gorgeous freckled-faced girl lying next to him. He was slightly offended that she thought he could ever forget her. They'd been best mates since the moment she scared the bullies off on their first train ride to Hogwarts. He'd been in love with her since the moment in the fourth year when she scolded him for falling off his broom but proceeded to clean up his wounds with a gentle touch. How in the world could she think he'd ever forget her? "You really think I could forget you?" Rose shrugged staying silent, as she picked at a loose thread in his sheets, refusing to meet his steely gaze. Tomorrow was their last day of exams, which meant Scorp was leaving tomorrow night. They had snuck up to Scorp's dormitory to get a few precious moments alone, while the rest of his dorm mates were off at his going away party. He still couldn't believe that by this time tomorrow he wouldn't know the next time they would see each other. The very thought killed him. Even though he'd known for over a year now that this day would come, he still wasn't ready for it. He wasn't ready to let her go just yet. He had a feeling he never would. At least not completely. Gripping her chin delicately, he raised her face so that their eyes met. "I could never forget you." Before she could argue or think up some other absurd thought, Scorp guided her lips to his. Rose kissed him back sweetly. After nearly a year together he still wasn't sick of kissing her. He pulled away to look into her pale blue eyes, hoping he was conveying everything that she meant to him with his next words. "I'll love you always."

"I hate-no dislike you a thousand times that you may never feel because of that thick wall of ice around your heart. That thick ice that no one might break because no one cares to even change you.
