The story takes place after the finale of the fifth season of The Vampire Diaries. Elena has to find a way to continue living her life after the death of two of the most important people in her life - Damon and Bonnie. Mystic Falls, their homeland, is completely "Supernatural Free" so they can't go home either. The whole group drifted apart right after they said their goodbyes - everyone followed their own track.
