"Get away Miss ! Run, it's not safe. Get back", Shouted the oddly dressed young man frantically. He was dressed in some sort of funny looking black waistcoat with ascot tie. He was kneeling, back hunched on the snow-covered ground." Was he cosplaying as someone ", she wondered, not comprehending his words at all. Then a huge gale of wind, pushed her forward. He was still screaming, waving her off furiously, but the wind wouldn't allow her to move. It was hard to see him now, due to the wind picking up flurries of snow and dust around them in almost a tornado. He was pulling himself, dragging his feet along. His face was contorted with fear and anguish ."Was it for.... her? "She wondered loudly. Then the world went fluorescent blue and white and lit her eyes ablaze. "Is this the way I die?, Amber thought. Then an agonizing pain. The last thing she felt was warm arms collecting her in their arms and a hot breath across her ears. Then everything went dark. *************** Amberlynn Corlington is a 2020 working businesswoman, a realist, strong-headed and impulsive to the core and only believes in what she can see, so when a supposed red-headed Professor and his wife try to explain to her that a she's in the year 1887 instead of 2020, brought accidentally to the past in a time warp by the certain young man sitting far away, across the dim room dejectedly, she decides to pick up the heavy candelabrum near her to slam it against the old man's head, because his horse- shit story could never possibly be true, right?

Amber leaned into Jacob's arms, her body still weak but her mind finally quiet. The night stretched around them, vast and dark, until a cool drop landed on her cheek. Then another. She looked up, and the sky opened. Rain poured down in heavy sheets, soaking her hair, clinging to her skin. For a moment, she simply stared, blinking at the sudden change. Jacob chuckled, his voice low and warm. "Looks like the universe isn't done with us yet," he said, tilting his head back to let the rain hit his face. Amber let out a soft laugh, the sound surprising her after everything that had happened. "It's... kind of perfect, isn't it?" Jacob raised an eyebrow, water dripping from his lashes. "Perfect? We're drenched." Amber stepped out of his arms and spun slowly, her arms stretched wide as the rain washed over her. "Exactly. Drenched, messy, alive." She stopped and looked at him, a playful glint in her eyes. "Dance with me." Jacob smirked. "Here? In the middle of a storm?" "Why not?" she challenged, stepping closer. "You scared, Jacob?" "Of you? Always." But his grin widened, and he took her hand, pulling her into a gentle sway. *** Secrets unravel, exposing dangerous truths. Blood is spilled, leaving scars that run deep.
