Some poems I've written over time I've always written poems as a vent or as something that was therapeutic to me, whenever I had a feeling that I couldn't describe in regular sentences. Speaking or normal words have never been my strong suit, so the more creative, artful way of writing really helped me feel better. They were like journal entries made into songs. Most of my poems were like little letters of reassurance to myself, so I hope some of them may give you a smile or a little comfort, as they did to me. Additionally, tho, there are some random poems that are probably just about the weather or things that had nothing to do with my mood, I probably just looked out the window and saw rain and was like "Hm. Imma write a poem 'bout that" Also, these were originally written for self-indulgence and less for an audience, so please excuse if the rhythm is off or if the rhymes are weird or if the wording is confusing (Take everything said with a grain of salt; these were originally made to just advise me, not anyone else). The only things I had in mind were "They have to flow and have syllable patterns" and "They have to rhyme." (I *know* it doesn't have to rhyme to be considered a poem, but it's far too satisfying (SATISFIEDSATISFIEDSATISFIIIIIIEEED) to reread the poem and see all the rhymes line up) Also #2, most of the poems I didn't make names for, so the titles of the "chapters" will just be a random word/some random words I pick from the first line or two Also #3, the poems I'll be putting on here are going to be the ones that end on happy notes, so I hope you don't get annoyed by a sprinkle positivity and optimism here and there It's currently 3am as I'm doing this, so I have no idea if this is a good idea, but if it's not I'm sure someone will tell me and I'll do something about it lol (if this is a bad idea pls tell me) Additionally, I have no idea why I'm up at 3am but whoopdeedoo

Welcome to this little book! This is gonna be some of my better small works - poetry and short stories, for the most part, with the occasional dream that I actually end up remembering mixed in. So, sit back, relax, and prepare for a bit of angst! MINI-SERIES Some of these are differentiated by a marker in their title or, in a very particular case, through a certain sign-off. I wanted to take a sec to explain the idea behind them, and let you guys know that I'll (eventually) be publishing them as actual, proper books! Asylum: Whenever I'm in the hospital or a mental facility, I get bored and write! I thought it would be fascinating to see all the work I make in a "damaged" state collected together. Unsent Letters: If I have something to say to someone but I can't for whatever reason, I'll write a letter to the person. Maybe it's angry, or sad, or an update, or just a much-needed, long-awaited hello. And the hope is that I'll publish it and maybe, someday, someone will pick my book up off a shelf and find that letter I write to them. Would sending them a letter be more effective? Yes. But it's more fun to make it into an art project! Signed by "-A": I̷͔̬̒t̵͔̂̊ͅ'̵͇̕s̶͆͜͠ ̶̟̪͝n̴̥̉ȯ̷͎̼t̶̢̕ ̷̧̺̉̐r̵͎̄e̴̲̞͌͌a̵̲̺̓d̵̮̑͜ỳ̴̗ ̷̯̑̀y̴̟̹̐ë̸̯̱́t̴͓̍̿͜.̸̙͆̓ ̸͕͑
