Her name was Astrid Theodora Gilbert.

 She was the eldest of the Gilbert siblings, and has been the glue to the family since anyone and everyone can remember. Much has happened to Astrid that she cares not to show, been through so much the Mute girl has been off in the world studying music and art just like she wished. Torn apart by death, it is only death which will bring Astrid back to her home town and finally to the men she's been seeing in her dreams ever since she can remember. With every brush stroke she's felt the pain, the loneliness and struggle this mystery man has experienced. It isn't until she comes home that Astrid finds out the truth. Not only that her family has been keeping secret, but so had she. Being born from the ancestral line of hunters, Astrid was also born from a long line of original witches and werewolf's. Secrets like these are things which can tear a family apart, but its nothing new for the Gilbert family to be related in one way or another, or not at all.
