This is a story about a girl named y/n. She didn't always live in Jackson. For the first 10 years of her life she lived in the quarantine zone in Wyoming. Talk within the zone informed y/n's parents of a place called Jackson. It was described as a beautiful place where you can live like it's normal without governments harsh control. At the age of 10 y/n and her parents left the zone to live in Jackson. It's been 9 years since she's lived in Jackson now. Only 4 years after being in Jackson she met a girl named Ellie. They became friends quickly and had the same group of friends including, Cat, Jesse, Dina, Ellie, and herself. Now at 19 years old, Ellie and y/n are pretty close. Everything was normal and fine in Jackson. Life was normal. You didn't have to worry about hunters or infected unless you were on patrol. Everything was sweet until that day. This isn't the normal, happy, unproblematic life it's made out to be. This life is Unforgivable.

Ellie found traveling with Joel to be both rewarding and simultaneously frustrating. It was like talking to a cold, emotionless brick wall sometimes. So imagine her excitement when they run into another group of travelers heading in the same direction, and they agree to travel with Ellie and Joel. The most exciting part? The other group has a girl their age. This is essentially a Ellie/Reader slow-burn fanfiction. It's also a fix-it fic in regards to the Last of Us Part 2 because I have personal issues with it. Will involve spoilers for both games, but this is mostly a self-indulgent fic. The reader is unnamed and has no descriptors so pretty much anyone can be the reader.
