Chase is a high school student that never has much to say. But one silly assignment is about to change all of that. He was said to do a project on a complete stranger. It was supposed to be that he made a new friend, but fate has other plans for him. Emily, a completely odd mysterious character is picked as the projects face. But as Chase spends more time getting to know Emily, he also gets to know, Em, Emily's sick and twisted other side that comes out after dark. Chase is slowly being pulled into Em's overall twisted and sickening second life and it is becoming a part of his life as well. He gets in too deep and is unable to walk away from the life he's made for himself. Will Chase survive and complete his work? Or will he break and drown under pressure?

Who are we without the things we live for? (aka 'Seriousifying Riddle School: The Fic'.) Blanket content warnings for complicated relationships, descriptions of violence, death, surgery, and critical injury. This story meant a lot to me, so I finished it. Against sense, reason, and the will of god.
