The story follows 23 year old Drayth, a rogue warrior doing everything he can to survive in the world.
He was born a half-blood, having the ability to manifest the powers of an ancient dragon.
Of course, that power would come in handy in the middle of a war which is why the empire hunts down half-bloods like him to weaponize the powers somehow.
On his quest of survival, Drayth finds new allies and finds out more and more about what is going on in the world. These revelations turn a simple survival story into a tale of betrayal, death and heroism.
