The Nikara Cycle 

This cycle of episodic stories is focused primarily on the world of the Lower Astral Plane that is a parallel sphere of existence with the mortal physical realm.  In the stories, this plane is set mainly in San Francisco.  This is a world with its own rules and dangers.  Here those who fall away from the process of Reincarnation may wander among strange creatures, slavers and organized crime societies.  The organization that protects and guides the lost humans are the Yamadutas.  They are the main characters of these tales which focus on their adventures.  

The younger brother of the Yamaduta Bingwen Longxi, Junji, is beginning to discover his abilities and explore the lower astral plane when he is captured by nefarious mercenaries.  They are planning an major underworld auction for a fairy they have captured, the Jade Boy.All Rights Reserved
