Seeing colors is a blessing for many and a luxury for others. In my world everyone is born seeing only one color, that color representing the power you have. Red is pyro-kinesis, purple is tele-kinesis, and so on. It's not until we have our "Awakening" where we unlock the ability to see the rest of the colors. Everyone has their awakening at one point in their life, some sooner than later. But what causes an "Awakening"? And why did I have my awakening at an early age?

I was just thinking. I swear. But maybe my mind over thought. It's weird that everything can seem so simple, straight forward. Black and white. Two colors. So obvious. So there. Him and Her. Two people. So obvious. So there. But once you add gray, things get kind of complicated. Then you add color. And it's a wonderfully complicated bright world. She's two in one. The storm and the shade. No one ever stops to thank the storm for shading them from what's above it. What if the sun was too strong, too powerful that day and the storm came along just to protect us all from it? It was this epic battle between the two and the storm was hurting and it cased all this damage to the earth. No one thanks the storm for its sacrifice when it finally loses the battle and the sun shows its smug face. We all hate the storm for the disaster it created and praise the sun, when the storm just wanted to protect us. The storm and the shade. She's the storm and the shade. She's the chaos and the calm. Only I can't see the chaos. Not fully. She's keeping it all inside. All I see is the calm. I can tell though. I can tell there's chaos. I just can't see it. It's not so black and white. The first time I saw the color, I thought it was a sign that things were going to work out. How could I not see those vibrant purples and cobalt blues framed in a swirling aura of chimerical colors lighting up the rumbling midnight storm clouds as a bad thing? How was I to know then that this color composed of many, but still one, was an omen while the world around us burned? That it wasn't to be our rainbow from God signaling our salvation from the madness that consumed those outside our borders? stand up for your uniqueness my mother always told me but in truth that just meant to be like everyone else I grew up with no friends except for hero my pet giraffe- puppy sounds kinda weird but if you lived where I was you'd understand . you see a hundred years ago the world was hit with a chemical blast millions of people died And the survivors were given abilities these abilities were sorted by color and when you were eighteen you would be given that color then if you were bodily able you'd go to a.t.c (abilities training camp ) where you would train your abilities to their strongest until you could fight the "defects " see some of the survivors couldn't handle their abilities so they transformed into twisted creatures that would kill anything they saw as a threat including us as a result thousands died trying to fight them off . and soon I'll be eighteen soon I'll have to fight them soon I'll be one of those thousands (p.s this story isn't a very violent one although it may contain some pretty bloody scenes .)Tamamlanmış Hikaye
