The proud city of Kindra sits atop its shining pedestal at the center of a vast flat green landscape. The multi-tiered city boasts as the crown jewel of civilization. The city's highest point at its center is the seat of their government, the streets and architecture progress downward through the five districts of the city, each of which plays a different role in maintaining the balance of Kindred society.
Life is going well for Moira, the daughter of a Cerulean woodworker, as she prepares to celebrate her eighteenth birthday. As her peculiar abilities come to the surface, her world gets turned upside down as she begins to glimpse her true powers. All her life she has proceeded along the natural path the city council dictates for all of its citizens, but the newfound abilities make her question everything she's been told.
When her father suddenly vanishes from their home, a stranger appears with news that the life Moira leads is not her own.
With the lives of the people she loves hanging in the balance, will she be able to stay true to herself and expose the tyranny of the so-called perfect city of Kindra? Or will the hidden powers pulling the strings find a way to make her disappear, like so many others?
