Heartworm -

When you can't get a relationship out of your head, even after it's ended long ago. Replaying memories, songs, scents that remind you of them or just their name on loop in your head is referred to as Heartworm.

Luke was my boyfriend (technically, he still is), but he had betrayed me. He was working for the lord of titans, Kronos. Kronos had promised Luke the power to destroy the gods, our parents. He'd offered me to go with him, to join him, but I had refused.

That was almost nine months ago.

I hadn't heard from him since, but I had seen him in my dreams.

Camp falling apart? Check.
Chiron has been exiled? Check.
Hermes asked Cassie to do the impossible? Check.

Life is never easy for a half-blood. But with a possible war on the horizon, throw in some 'star-crossed lovers' and you've basically got a recipe for disaster.

Sixteen-year-old Cassiopeia Monroe just wants a full night's sleep. But that's hard to do when every time she closes her eyes, she's running through a void filled with whispering shadows and cruel laughter. The dreams feel too real, and lately... they've been following her into daylight. Between the blackouts, the strange bursts of energy, and the stars that sometimes flicker under her skin, Cass is starting to think she's either going crazy-or something much worse. Then, during a school trip to the local museum, things start unraveling. One moment she's staring at ancient relics, and the next a teacher from a different school is transforming into a monster with fangs, claws, and eyes that seem to recognize her claiming her to be a danger and threat. When a guy with sea green eyes is attacked, a man in a wheelchair hands him a ballpoint pen-a freaking ball point because obviously, that's helpful-and the pen promptly turns into a glowing sword and just stare at her with mouth hung open confused as to what she was doing there or how she was seeing whatever was going on. Cass doesn't have time to process. She grabs a broken chair, turns it into a makeshift wooden dagger, and does the only thing she can-fight back. Somehow, she survives. The creature turns to ash, the air hums with power. As she leaves the museum, the man in the wheelchair and another with crutches watch her go-eyes filled with something between awe, fascination, and fear. Cass has no idea why. She just wants to go home, hug her dad, and maybe-just maybe-get through one night without dreaming of the void. But destiny doesn't wait for anyone-especially not for the daughter of..... 43 parts Complete

The previous summer brought some changes for Annabeth. A quest, becoming friends with the son of an enemy and being reunited with her father. But now, danger threatens Camp Half-Blood and there are more monster attacks than ever. Thalia's tree has been poisoned, weakening the camps borders and Chiron sacked as a result. Only the Golden Fleece can restore Thalia's tree but it is hidden in the sea of monsters. To make matters worse, a new addition to camp brings back painful memories to here, memories that she wanted to forget. The camp calls for a quest only to leave Annabeth and Percy behind. Will they be satisfied with leaving the quest to someone else? Or will they break all the rules to save their camp? Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters from Annabeth Chase's point of view.
