In a time when everything seem perfect, a teen model meets a hardworking young man who seeks a good education and to have a successful life for his grandmother. At the age of 17, they say each others name for the first time, and at the age of 19, they fell in love.

The story is set in two timelines, 1977 and 2022, capturing parallels between Amanda Marquez family crisis and the present-day's Isabella Mendez breaking down family. 

Amanda Marquez her grandmother started telling a story about the first time he met her husband Matthew Gomez and how everything went to marriage and happily ever after. Isabella on the other hand started learning about her grandmothers 17-years-old self, including Amandas youthful aspirations, frustrations, and relationships.

And in the end Amanda and Matthew, exchanged comforing statements and mutually decided that it was best to recover their relationship after all the hardships they've face. As the drama's title hinted, the story has been throwback by Amanda Marquez herself.
