A stormy sky, clouds and rain. As Harry looked, truly looked, into Draco's eyes he could begin to see a story playing out. A stormy day, a small cottage. Two people lived there alone. They absolutely loved the rainy days. The two people would just sit on their small couch and watch the rain fall against the window. They didn't mind the couch was small, they would just cuddle up to one another. Lovers. They must be lovers. Draco had dealt with enough death to make peace with his own. Getting a handle on his emo angst, he assumed his life would end after Dumbledore's murder. He didn't expect to keep living. He didn't expect to find something, someone left living for. He didn't expect to reach out to Harry Potter for help. Even more so, Draco didn't expect to fall in love with him in doing so. This is a slow-burn romance and redemption Drarry fic written by a touch-starved queer person with a newly rekindled love for Paramore and MCR. Enemies-to-lovers always hits different when 'Playing God' is in the soundtrack! Get ready for Draco 'overthinking is my therapy' Malfoy, Harry 'not settling for less' Potter, nonbinary Hermione, and supportive best friend Ron, with appearances of 'awkward big brother' Bill and other notable Weasleys. Explicit consent and content warnings are important to me. This fic is mostly a safe space, with warnings added to relevant chapters (there's no SA/abuse in general). Yet, if anxious/angsty overthinking isn't your thing, maybe just skip this entire fic. (This book contains sexual content and strong language, so mature audiences only.) Snape is magically alive because he faked his death, let's go with that.
