shimizu kaiya has been compared to her sister since she was born. finally having enough of it, kaiya took the entrance exam for shiratorizawa and was accepted. now she goes to shiratorizawa, and she's the manager for the boys volleyball club.

being friends with shirabu and kawanishi has brought this usually timid girl out of her shell, especially when it comes to shirabu's snide remarks, kawanishi's unfiltered comments, and tendō's teasing.

but when it comes to admitting her feelings, she's in denial. with tendō's interventions, both shirabu and kaiya slowly realize their feelings for each other, but both deny these feelings, knowing the other could never look at them the same way.
