This time, Y/N mustered up the courage to ask his mum a different question. From that day onwards, the relationship between Y/N and his mother spiralled down and wasn't the same ever again. After finishing high school, Y/N went to university and studied to become a robotics technician so he could work at places like Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. He was so good at what he was studying, that he only had to study for two years before being allowed to graduate. So when Y/N turned twenty, he applied for the role of the animatronic mechanic at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza-Plex, which was a massive mall version of Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. It had all of the originals(in my AU, Bonnie and Foxy still exist) and some new ones. Y/N was ecstatic when he heard that they were accepted and now employed to be the mechanic, but he had to keep this job a secret. He could not risk his mother finding out. Y/N was pretty good at not mentioning starting the job. That was until one day when his mum decided to randomly come visit and found out everything, causing a big argument. Y/N didn't care and started working there anyways. He became the happiest they ever had been. Y/N made new friends. Both human and robotic. Everything was normal, until one day, when a realisation made everything change for Y/N.

In their continual expansion, they seeded galaxies with pods and connection satellites. Over time they upgraded their dyson spheres into matryoshka brain Cores. Imagine a computer powered by a star. Citizens of Cores no longer age once they upload their minds into the virtual living system of the Core. While they didn't age, most still choose to cycle through life and death though at a different scale of time compared to our lives. Citizens can visit other planets and live there as if they were on a "vacation". Mercury is Earth's hub connected to the closest Core and Earth is a remote vacation spot for wealthy citizens. When the main character was 10 he witnessed a citizen returning to the Core. The story continues 10 odd years later when he again witnesses a similar situation unfolding and manages to touch the person returning to the Core. This causes him to be swept up in the transfer as well and for his mind to join as a "Guest" user of the Core. As a Guest he has limited powers, a starting balance of zero cr or Citizen credits, and no idea how he can get home. He is the first human to ever become a Guest of a Core. Where money itself is the highest form of their science.

For many years, a certain pizzeria was the place a young girl used to go to as a child. She loved coming here almost everyday to spend time with her favorite animatronics. There is one in particular who stands out to her, because he is the only one who is different from the rest at the time. And she believed in her heart that he might have been alive and her true friend. However, one day after leaving the restaurant, a tragedy occurs before she can reach home. One that would change her life forever, and returning to that restaurant was out of the question. At least for ten years. Especially her favorite animatronic, and she soon learns that he did not take it well when she did not return. She had never thought he would even remember her...but as time passes by, she learns that the animatronics are more than they appear. And the owner of the restaurant seems to be the key to this whole thing.
