Master Bladen was born 1,000 years before the events of the War of Freedom and locked in the Temple of Swords where he would be healed and his age would reverse. Every time he was needed he would be freed but as soon as his duty was fulfilled he would go back to the temple. He was freed and went to save Kiara, but the Princess didn't want him to leave again.
