Kiera's best friend Carly is somewhat of an internet sensation. Her Youtube channel and Instagram account - spookyscarycarly - are famed for their paranormal or otherwise scary content. The locations that become subject to Carly's amateur yet very entertaining investigations are sent in by fans and voted on through the Instagram account. One poll in particular lands Carly and Kiera at the fateful address of 148 Furgeson Road.
Unbeknownst to them, the house is not abandoned but is instead owned by a fan of Carly's, who happens to be very much out of his mind with what he thinks is love for the internet star.
The only problem is that this fan doesn't want Kiera - only Carly. But he can't let her go. So Kiera's only options are to play house with an insane hillbilly or fight her way out of the house. When she chooses the latter, it quickly becomes a matter of who will kill who first.
