Watch Captain Arlan Muirhaig is getting old and he knows it. His career in the Althwyn City Guard has been long and hard, his glory days far behind him. These days, he mostly spends his time knocking some sense into new recruits. On one such day, he suddenly finds himself curtailing a riot in the city's elven district, where one of their own is accused of being an agent of the High Elves. As Arlan investigates the matter, he soon finds that it is far more complex and perhaps even more dangerous than he first thought.
A short story of mine that won me an Honorable Mention in the Writer's Digest magazine.

Everyone knows that Dwarf women are not the prettiest and look just like Dwarf men, but there is one dwarf that has the beauty of an Elven Queen. Her name is Dakota. Even though she is gorgeous she got picked at a lot. She was different from the other Dwarfs. They said she was a disgrace to her kind. She lived with only her mother and she had no siblings. And when her mother told Dakota, it broke her heart too. She still found the happiness and strength to go on. Dakota's mother worked as a maid for Dís the granddaughter of the king Thror. This is how Dakota and Thorin met. Thorin is Dís' brother. They have been best friend form a very young age. They never left each other's side. Even when they got older they remained best friends. Thror and Thrain accepted her like their daughter. Dakota's life was perfect. She didn't need anything else. She was happy. But she had no idea what was about to happen....Concluída

But there is no such thing as a good samaritan in times of turmoil such as these, and Boss is convinced that this sorcerer has ulterior motives. you where Grand-Daughter to Galadriel and Celeborn, and Niece to Elrond. your father was never mentioned to you when you where young but father was the second son to Galadriel and Celeborn. Your father had left after you where born since he had a child with a human but your mother died when giving birth to you as he took you and left you in Lothlórien, you lived with Galadriel and Celeborn when he left learning various skills of fighting and some of the common tongue but it wasn't your strong point. you wanted to see the world as you where packing your things in your chambers strapping your belt on that had your sword and daggers in a X shape at the back, you dressed in gear that would do for travelling and fighting, you wore the tall knee high boots and hidden daggers in them, and put the arrow holder once your shoulder then wore your dark cloak that was elven made so it protect you. Ever since you where little and your father left, you wanted to explore the world. You then left leaving a note on your bed to tell them before leaving Lothlórien behind.Concluída
