This is year 2589. Technologies are so advanced that if you have the right resources you can literally live forever. Something what you called terminal diseases decades ago are no longer terminal. You have kidney failure, lung failure, heart failure? Just go to bionic clinic and install the artificial organ replacement.
As the science keep moving forwards, I think our politician in contrary are moving backwards. They say you have full control of your body, change it the way you like so you can be a productive citizen but we don't have control of our lives. We are commodities, we can't die without government's permission. Taking a suicide means robbing the government of its productive commodity and three generations of your family will be punished severely.
So the scientists came up with a new way to take a suicide without violating the "living" rule. Transition from life to a mecha, or in other words become an android.
In short, my name is Lalisa manoban and I want to be an android.
