"It's October of 2019." John visibly squirmed at my answer. His mouth hung open, but no words came out. He seemed to realize this when he pressed his lips together, but after a bit he opened them once more. Again, he said nothing and clamped his mouth shut. He looked like a fish out of water if he were to keep doing that... "John?" I finally spoke up. "Tw... twenty-nineteen?" I nodded surely. John leaned back. "That's... that's impossible," he murmured. "I should be dead by now." I couldn't help but narrow my eyes at his statement. "What do you mean by that?" I questioned. John blinked, tilting his head up. He held a look in his eyes that screamed panic and confusion. "This is going to sound strange, but I live in the late 18th century. The last year I remember was 1782, and--" John's already wide eyes grew even wider when some sort of realization struck him. A hand flew over his stomach, the same spot that he was clutching on before he even woke up. I watched him silently as he patted around his torso with a disbelieving look. He grew frantic, stream of curses slipping out his mouth and he searched around his own body. When he couldn't seem to find whatever he was looking for, he looked back to me. "I died." "I'm sorry, what?"

In present day (Y/N) didn't care about much. All that mattered was what party she was going to that night and if there was alcohol present. Well, that all changed when she gets into a wreck and is thrown back to 1776. She has to learn more about her life and continue living in this different time period. Along the way, she meets an immigrant, orphan, revolutionary soldier, who stole her heart. How will she deal with this new life? P.S) Any lyrics that I use in his book belong to Lin Manuel Miranda.
