Elia Tanner is a Venerated Sister of the Unending Sacrament and has spent her entire life in the service of His Holy Lord. Thus, when her Mother Superior requests that she leave their convent world and travel to the Reverend Nessier Governess School as a tutor, she gladly accepts her holy calling. It is on the dim, gray world of Aouthua that she meets the enigmatic Anne, one of the academy's prefects who, like the school, is very, very wrong.
