"This story starts the same way all others do. With war.
Bad leadership. Pettiness. some insults. some souring relationships. Some threats are empty... some carried out. Word. For. Word.
we all know what happens when animals fight. they are savage. they are vicious. they are relentless, restless till they reach the throne of victory.. even if that throne sits on a mountain of suffering and sorrow of those innocents these leaders are supposed to protect.
All leaders are leaders because they hold great power. the power that they can use without requiring permission. small village leaders have small armies armed to the teeth. Mafias have even more. countries have even more. But world leaders have the most. and almost no one to stop them.
Alrighty, that's enough nit and grit. bombs fell. but not normal ones. ones shot straight at the tectonic plates. This caused the worst disasters in the history of human stupidity. like, come on! stop being such spiteful dumbas- oh wait. can't yell at idiots who are already dead.
ya, what did you expect? entire tectonic plates shift and your small bunkers will still be left standing?
literally, almost everyone died. about 3 to 6 million survived somehow. and they somehow found salvation. Shocking I know. These humans learned a way to survive. we always do. we are cockroaches- oh wait no that wouldn't work for the book...

We now live in these small pockets of civilization, spread far over a Pangaea of nuclear weirdness and violent storms. connected.. by the odyssey. The odyssey is attached to us right behind the ear. connecting straight to our brain and sending us straight to the Worldway. this thing that's basically an improved version of the... what was it called? the internet? the olden people used it.. whatever.
