She glares at me and grits out, "Yes without that, might I remind you, where would you have been right now, Wilson?"
"You are going to hold that over my head forever, aren't you Davidson?"
"Yes. Because I deserve that credit don't you think?" She smiles sweetly but there was nothing remotely sweet about it.
"Yeah. You obviously deserve the credit for messing up our lives now!" I wave my hand towards the file.
"It would have happened, either way, you asshole! And don't you dare tell me that is not why you went to that mansion in the first place!" She spits out, pointing her finger in my direction accusingly.
"How do-"
"If you ask the 'how' of it one more time. I'll skin you alive." She sneered in a deadly voice.
That's it!

She is the definition of broken beyond repair. The ones she cares about tend to die. Her only best friend abandoned her without a word. In a world where she has only ever faced hardships and loss, she learns to survive and outdo death itself. She prides herself for killing high profile people. She is an assassin, in simple words. But Karma always comes back to bite people in the ass.
What do you think will happen when all her wrongs catch up with her? Can she fight this war all alone or will she find just the person who can share her burdens and still love her? One who does not bring light in her darkness but sits with her and relishes it.

Asher Wilson
One would think their life is hell. That is until life throws them into a pit of misery and darkness. He had no choice in what took place in his life. He left her for a few days, at least that's what he thought he was doing. Now she probably assumes that he abandoned her on purpose. Unfortunately, it's too late to go back now. She would hate him for who he had become. An assassin.

What would happen when fate decides their destiny? Will they, two broken people, fight against all odds to be together? Or will she decide to return the favor and abandon him this time?

how far would you go . . . for someone you love? ♔ Levi steps forward, placing himself between me and Jack. Like he's protecting me from him. But I don't need protecting, certainly not from Jack. "Who do you think you are, dude?" Levi spits, getting in Jack's face. "Look, Scarlett was just helping me out with a proj-" "I'm not your dude," Jack bites, and I want to tear my hair out of my head. This is going downhill very fast. Jack turns to me. "Scar, we need to talk," he says lowly. Then loud enough for Levi to hear, "So can you please get this kid to leave." "Hey, you don't get to come in here and start ordering her around," Levi says harshly. "You don't control her." "And you think that you do?" Jack spits. ♔ When Scarlett moved off to college, she hoped to start anew and find her way in this world alone. Two problems. 'No, he didn't'. I was so shocked by the turn of events. Everything was going fine and then suddenly boom, everything turned upside down. I just couldn't believe this. What did he think of himself? 'Leave me alone.' I said firmly but his hold on me was so strong. I was struggling to get out of his bear hold but to no avail. 'Oh!! So, the poor lady thinks that I will leave her alone and just let her go free?' He had that evil laugh and boy, his breath stank. 'Man, you just signed your death warrant and I will do one favour on you.' No one messes with me. 'Ooooh, I am so scared that I almost peed my pants.' Again that idiotic laugh. I counted till 5 and then kicked right in his balls. I turned around and grabbed his hair from roots, jerked them so badly and then gave my hard elbow shot on his chin. Everything happened so fast for one moment he was standing and the other lying on floor wiggling. I charged at him with my cheetah speed, picked up a wooden rod and started hitting him wildly, 'You idiotic stinky breath was trying to steal my backpack. You are so dead.' 'Favour, favour, favour.' He was screaming in pain just after few seconds and was panting hard. I picked my paste from my bag and threw at him, 'Brush your teeth.' I was fuming. I turned around and saw him standing wide-eyed, 'Hi, I am Scarlett.' I smiled showing my 32 teeth. 'I am scared.' His look puzzled me. "How do you feel now, Morgan?" She says, more pointing something out than asking a question. She grabs hold of my wrists and tightens them. If I could see properly I could swear I see them turn purple. "I could beat you to the bone, right here, right now, till you die from your injuries. But, I won't. You will die. Maybe not today, maybe not in a month, but you will." Well, obviously I'm going to die. Humans don't live forever. "Wonder why?" "No, and I really don't care." She answers anyway. "Because we have the power, the people, and the weapons to do it. Face it, you're defenseless against us." I feel some blood flooding my mouth, so I, being a perfectly nice person, spit it in her face. That doesn't faze her at all. "I have the strength and intelligence, something you clearly don't have. Whatever y'all do to me, it won't break me. I will put up a hell of a fight before losing. I will fight, and I will win." I turn over and look at her fellow companions. "Even if I die doing it." "Is that a risk you're willing to take?" ____________________________________ 17 year old Morgan Peters is an average girl living life.
