The 17-year-old Skylar has always been a rebel. After her mother's death, she was dumped and left for dead on the streets. For 10 long years, she had to survive cold winters and almost starved to death. 

Now the police are looking for her because of stealing and robbing people all around the state. After she gets caught, she's brought to N.E.S.T to follow a military training and join them, but it's harder then she thought. 

Her life will turn upside down when she meets Sideswipe. A young mech that starts to show interest in her. Unfortunately, her past is still haunting her. Murder, rape, death, torture, abuse, and deceit follows her everywhere she goes and a family mystery is still not solved...
