Pictures are taken to make sure we remember the moment we were in that place, the smile and pose and the feeling we had in that time. The poems I make are like the pictures that I take to ensure I store the raw feeling I had and convey the story what I was meaning to keep.
The words, the intense feeling I had-no matter how sad or happy, the message, the person behind them or the person I was with- I store them in the pieces I made, just like how a polaroid usually do. The poem does not necessarily mean that it was my story. Sometimes I try to be in somebody's shoe and try to make a poem out of being in that situation or feeling. Just like how a picture conveys stories, poems do too.
I could simply shot a picture to store them easily but pictures fade or an external card can be corrupted. But words... they are eternal.
So this book I'll make again are those poems with the stories or feelings I had when I was in that moment (or someone's moment) and I hope you can relate to them as you read them. I did my best to store and keep the feelings I had that time so enjoy 'this moment'.

Hurt Beyond Repair.
Hurt and frightened and no where to turn except for my journal. Curse words being streamed at me and you would have thought I had a father for a sailor. ~E.M.C Many poems focusing on the subject of Mental Illness, that many suffer with and the subject just isn't brought up enough. Poems focusing on a day in the shoes of a person with a mental illness and how some even ordinary simple tasks may seem not so simple to them. When I was in high school, I used to watch this Koreanovela called Lavender. Tired of trying to be everything. Trying to be perfect. Wrong paths and wrong people and missed opportunities. Am I letting my mental illness take over my life? A look into the mind of a BPD, Anxiety ridden woman. With no identity but her Panic. With my ways it's hard to keep down anything healthy, relationships that don't last but stay with me like my own personal demons. And evil around the corner you'd never see coming. The pain changes you. Trauma changes you. It strips you away from yourself. BPD strips away your identity sometimes I guess this is my way of finding myself again, through writing and reflecting and realizing it is okay to be hurting. The Words I couldn't Say
This is a place for me to put all the things I wish I said but I just couldn't. These are a way for me to "say" these things without actually saying them to the person I want to. I probably won't ever go back or read any of these because it's like revisiting a bad memory so don't expect much in terms of editing. Also I wouldn't consider this poetry but it is laid out that way. WARNING Talk of depression, suicide, anxiety, and self harm. Don't read if you don't like things like that and may get triggered.
