In a faraway world, magic is illegal except for the country of Wald where magic can be a job. Wald allows caravans, or groups that sell what they can do with magic. But there is one special caravan that it's so popular because its four members can do anything: The Caravan of Hope.
Mary and George meet the guild (consisting of a sword con, an emo, a depressed dude in love with Mary, and a girl who knows everything) and end up joining it. But the group is in for the time of their lives because of that, for a dark and sinister force is rising.

Within the mystics there were six guilds. Each one controlled a different aspect of the world of magic. There was water, fire, earth, air, life and death. Every fifty years one person was born into each guild that would become the grand master of their guild. No one else born into the guild would ever be as powerful as the grand mystic. While every hundred years a child who was known as the ultimate mystic was born. This child is able to control the elements in every guild. The Water, Fire, Life and Death Grand Mystic are in the White Rose. The Air and Earth Mystic are in the Red Rose.
