Having to live with terminal cancer, Rose tries to find meaning in life while babysitting Sam, all the while death slowly creeps up on her.

After finding out her friend had died, Jasmine Dogwood runs away from her problems. However, out on the road, her car breaks down and forces her to walk to the nearest home. There, she meets a psychotic man named Sam who calls her Rose after the dead roses in his backyard. 

Doctors believe Sam isn't real and send Jasmine to a psychiatrist who prescribes her carcinogenic pills.
