Sam is an only child - well at least until his parents decide to adopt a girl. Unlike most people, Sam's parents do not adopt a little girl, but a 14 year old - 3 years younger than Sam. Caden, the girl they adopt, is far from normal, and Sam is intrigued by her strangeness. But when Caden starts vanishing at night once a week, Sam grows suspicious and follows her.
