THE AFTERMATH

My name is Alina. I am a clinical psychologist.

I am a regular citizen who is a loner with very few distant friends. This remains true until one day I find myself in the emergency room after breaking my arm during a regular morning jog.

This is a narration of my story. I am childless and divorced to my teenage hood sweetheart who eventually embraced his sexuality as gay. In the process of letting him go, I meet a charming and well articulated soft spoken man who has a lot of skeletons in the closet. But so does my ex husband who unfortunately entangles himself with drug dealers who end up hunting him down. Not only do they want him dead but also my head and his out of wedlock son's whom in unexpected turn of events eventually finds a mother in me.
