October 24th, 2050 was the day we watched the Earth die.
We watched from our colony on Mars. Our satellites circled the Earth sending video back. The room was quiet as the satellite's feed was projected on a screen in front of us. I had never stepped foot on the Earth but I was acutely aware that as a human being that the Earth would always be "home".

Humans and Anthros lived in peace and harmony on the earth for hundreds of years. The United Anthro Nations (UAN) sought to unite all races of anthros and build a stronger relationship with humans. An era of peace and prosperity came over the earth. That is until the year 2037 when a terrorist group called the Fangs attacked the UAN and started a worldwide war. After the Fangs attacked and destroyed all the western hemisphere camps. Along with all the camps in South America Humanity claimed that the UAN couldn't protect them and cut off all ties with them. Now Humanity is in hiding and even is starting to attack both UAN and Fang forces that get too close. Now the year is 2057 and, the Human race has all but vanished while the fangs now control most of Europe and are slowly winning the fight in America. The UAN leadership ordered that any humans found were to be taken to a military base for care and protection. And they only hoped they could rebuild what they once had before the war. (P.S.
