The Rebirth of Aurabeth

"Please don't hurt me!" She pleaded as warm tears of fear streamed ferociously down her face. "I just want to go home."

The mysteriously cloaked man caged her in against the hard cold brick wall. She was trapped with nowhere else to go.

"Oh darling don't cry." He whispered softly into her ear as he caressed her damp face. "This is only temporary. We will meet again and next time I'll be sure to make it a little more interesting."

Suddenly she felt his weight shift and a sharp pain throbbed through her chest. The air she was so desperately trying to cling onto felt like it had all instantaneously been sucked out of her. The sounds of the outside world were now nonexistent, all she could hear was an intense ringing in her ears.

Slowly looking down in between their bodies she noticed an object sticking out of her chest and a sticky red substance covering his hands, her blood. Wide eyed she looked back up at this mysterious man. He had just stabbed her, she was going to die and didn't even know what her murderer looked like.

Her eyes began to flutter and black spots clouded her vision. As her body suddenly felt like a ton of bricks she collapsed to the ground. Then there was nothing, nothing but darkness.
