Tears brimmed in the corners of his eyes, and with his heart on his sleeve, he made yet another attempt at securing her safety. She couldn't hold his gaze, for the anguish clouding his fuchsia coloured eyes struck her with immeasurable grief. She wanted to respect his wishes, she wanted to turn back and let him handle the battle, she wanted to stay alive for him. But looking out at the demons goading them with their presumptuous remarks, Y/N found herself rooted in place by a force much stronger than her desires. She was suffocating in dread with the fear of losing another person she loves.

NOTE: In this story the breathing styles are not visual effects and are actually visible and real. To fill the plot hole, how this happens is the way the sword cuts. e.g: Water breathing creates water when the sword slashes specifically in a way which attracts water molecules and they condense into water. (Mist breathing is the same but the molecules aren't condensed enough to become water so the particles just float around as mist) I don't have a really scientific reasoning sorry!!
