15 year old Lola Swanson lives a seemingly normal life. She has a loving family, and amazing friends. She isn't the smartest person in her class, but she makes up for it in her personality. Everyone loves her, but she only let's a few people get close to her. Even her best friend, El, doesn't know her whole story. Lola has a secret. She's lived with it ever since she could talk. Every word she says, appears in fine, black lettering on her skin. When she is presented with an oral report, her world comes crashing down. Her parents try to take her to doctors, but none of them understand. So when a man approaches them with a possible cure they are overjoyed and happy to accept the offer. But this man doesn't exactly have "cure". Lola soon finds out she in just another nightmare.
