But the worst of it comes when everyone is gone and Noah cracks open his bedroom door, praying his son isn't stuck in some sort of daze still. He holds Stiles and talks to him, and Stiles actually listens. And after his dad reluctantly leaves his broken child for bed, saying he'll be right down the hall, Stiles just breaks down. Everything is numb, so numb that he can't even reassure his own dad.
