It is the year 2340, and for the past one hundred years the laws of "Moral Conformity" have ruled over The Supreme Lands aka Old America. In short, men were encouraged to receive higher education and work to provide for their families. While women were stripped of almost all of their human rights and not allowed to attend a traditional school or pursue a career of any kind. As the first Bill of Conformity states "A woman should be focused solely on the duties of a wife and mother, all learned skills must support that goal". To the poorer families, girls started to become useless as they could not work or bring anything in to help their relatives. This led to many destitute families abandoning young girls. In response to this tragedy, the Council created "Bride Mills" where baby girls without homes were admitted and spent their days learning how to become a perfect woman of Supreme society and at the end of their stay be married off to wealthy families who preferred government brides.

Enter Valerie, a young woman left in front of the mill only days old. The goal to be the perfect wife and mother is all she knew. Though she couldn't seem to stifle the part of her that wanted more. When she is married to the dashing Henry Dageraux her struggle between trying to be the perfect wife and also finding herself would have caused an incredible strain in any other Supreme relationship, but Henry was different, and it is up to them to make a change.

Aline, a 23-year-old in a historically ambiguous- though 1690-resembling- France has worked in her family business her whole life. Her family helped found the largest criminal organization in the area so she grew up with a hardened personality. While on one of her jobs she is trapped and forced to sign a contract that forces her to work for a year under an enemy corporation. While away from home she discovers that the world outside is much different than her home. Making more mistakes than she thought possible, she attempts to try the waters of living apart from her family for the first time and leaves a series of disasters in her wake. Featuring some fluffy romance, bad humor, and an illegal gay wedding, this book has a lot of lighter themes. However, some darker themes are included. I advise proceeding with caution for those triggered by the following: Violence, gore, rape (not graphic), some slurs (no n-words or the like), prolonged sexual abuse, mental/emotional abuse, physical abuse, prostitution, symptoms of PTSD and themes of depression as well as brief periods of suicidal thoughts and/or actions. If any of these bother you I am more than willing to send you rewrites of any triggering chapters that avoid triggering subjects without messing with the plot so that you may still read the piece. Simply message me which of the above triggers you have and I'll send edited chapters accordingly. *THIS IS NOT GRAMMATICALLY EDITED AND THERE IS NO SET POSTING SCHEDULE. The Lost Life of Laraine by BearGoRawr
56 parts Ongoing
She lead a rather tragic life. The black sheep of her family due to her lack of affinity for fire. Her affinity was quite the opposite. Water in fact. Already in a time when women did not really have much political power or rights, she was outcasted by her family despite being of nobility. Still allowed to live in the distant west wing of the massive Grand Duke's manor, she has never eaten a single meal with her family nor extended family, and has spent her loneliness in her books and sword lessons. Although only taught by the head butler and one of the low ranked knights of the family, she was quite bright and if her family would have given her a chance she would have done great things. If only she didn't die at such a young age. Married off to some "hero" of sort that had slayed the Dragon of the North who was terrorizing the land and threatened the kingdom, this hero also had an affinity for fire and held her in disdain like the rest of her family. Suddenly a girl of another world was transported to their world, picked up by this hero and put into his secure care. The pair soon fell for each other despite the hero's marriage, and many believed Laraine got jealous of this girl of mystery, and tried to kill her. This was definitely not true. But because the girl was favored by the temple and kingdom Laraine was quickly arrested and put on trial. You can probably tell what happened to Laraine. But something strange happened the day of her execution. As soon as her decapitated head hit the ground the sky turned blood red and it began to rain fire. No one survived that day. But for some reason time went back, and Laraine was back to being a child, but with no memory of her future. There were select few in her life, however, that remembered her tragedy and now perhaps will take action to prevent it. NOTE: I'M AWARE THERE ARE A LOT OF INCONSISTENCIES. IT WILL BE EDITED SOME DAY BUT RIGHT NOW I'M JUST TRYING TO FINISH IT.

This short story is the product of a lost bet. A friend challenged me to write it and we both enjoyed it enough that I wanted to share it with all of you on WattPad. It's fun and frivolous and my first attempt at writing futuristic dystopian. The United States and its Government have fallen apart and it's up to the country's citizens to find a way to carry on. In a small, central Pennyslvania, river town a group of people have carved out a stable existence under the leadership of their Governor and his volunteer militia - the Royal Order of Knights. The only problem? Governor Kramm's daughter. Charli grew up watching (and falling in love with) her best friend as he trained to become an honored Knight and her dream has always been to be one of them. However, her father's current laws won't allow women to serve. When their community falls under attack and she risks her own life to save her father's, will it be her final sacrifice or her proving grounds?
