Icarus' Sun

We all know Icarus flew too close to the sun, but do we really know why? What did the sun truly mean to him? And what did Icarus mean to the sun?

But most importantly, why did it all have to end in tragedy?

Note: This is my first short story on here, but I want to get more into writing and I thought, why not start small? This came from an idea I had in the shower. I hope you all like it.
