Pia Landers and Zane Triggs both devoted their lives to science. They once had nearly devoted their lives to each other, but that is another story. Neither ever thought they would need to use their research to prevent the world from being devoured by a rogue virus. But this is no ordinary illness, and the circumstances surrounding its appearance begin to raise more questions than answers that are provided.
