Whisperings Within is a collection of poems written by a teenager in moments of strength, sorrow, happiness, anxiety (you name it). It details inner victories and defeats. I started writing at a very young age but no no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't finish a story. And then one day, I turned one of my stories into a poem and I felt so powerful and free. Thus, my love affair with poetry started. I would be up all night searching for that perfect word. Watching the dark ink spread across the pristine pages of the book was my very own Shangri-la. I have always loved the idea of people reading my poems and feeling something. I'm hoping I can show a glimpse of my soul to the world.
