𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒

It is said that the true story of The Little Mermaid was that Ariel was killed by men; sailors, to be exact. She's never met Prince Eric nor did she save him from drowning. The mermaid went venturing into the surface where she met humans whom then captured and killed her. As a result, King Triton died of a broken heart a few days later. But not before vowing all mermaids to kill every sailor that comes across their ocean, as well as forbidding love between a mercreature and a human.

Many years later, the mermaids; now know as sirens, have decreased in population due to them not having a leader to guide them. There were only seven of them left, resulting in one of them stepping up as their leader. All the other sirens agreed as she was the most powerful of them all. But one day, the said leader would begin to disappear during the night and would only come back in day time, being absent in their nightly hunts. The other sirens have grown suspicious of the leader and decides to follow her one day.
